April Sketchbook Workshop Series

Service Description

Join Starlight’s resident artists as they explore the idea of journaling and sketchbooks as a creative space. All supplies will be provided at each session, such as sketchbook, drawing, painting, printing, and mixed media materials. Please feel free to bring personal art materials to add to your work. Come in for one class or attend all four to build upon your book! Please pre-register for each session, space is limited. *Materials not allowed in studio are aerosols, oil base or solvents, thank you. Workshop 1- April 8th – 10:30a-12p Sketchbook embellishing: Start with a personal touch to your sketchbook, cover design, adding special pages, pockets, folders and layers. Workshop 2- April 15th – 10:30a-12p Mix media Collage Using found images and paint, populate your sketchbook with experimental imaginary. Workshop 3- April 22nd – 10:30a-12p Visual poems Work within your sketchbook drawings and paintings to add found words and personal writings to build a deeper story behind your imagery. Workshop 4- April 29th 10:30a-12p Printmaking Learn mono printing to add depth to your journal.
