Chace Lobley

Chase gravitates towards clay, but has a natural ability and understanding of almost every material introduced to him. He has a passion for dinosaurs, mythical beasts, and monsters, finding interest in “their behavior and design – how they were made”. Chace has an unmatchable and innovative ability to create systems of design with difficult materials this allows him to develop intricate sculptural work. His intense focus involves him spending an enormous amount of time to problem solve till he is satisfied with his results. After having the opportunity to work with Squeaky Wheel Media Center to create a stop-motion animation featuring the Loch Ness Monster , Chace has continued to explore this media and created several dinosaur stop motion films. Chace loves sharing and talking about his work, he would like to someday teach children all he knows about dinosaurs.
Check out this episode of the short documentary series, "Of One Mind", created with the help of Squeaky Wheel Media Center featuring a conversation between Chace and Ken Payne.
